J. Weis: My work shown here has so far been a visual progression of where I've been as an artist, to where I am now. After training in different areas of art I have learned that I take what is taught to me and make it what suites me and my work. My pieces are subjects that appeal to me and done in whatever way I feel at that time. Sometimes I want a very realistic result so i put in an abundance of time and energy in to getting the tones, colors, and details exactly as I see it in front of me. Other times I like a more relaxed and flow-y piece that speaks for itself without displaying every accurate detail. I believe as I progress in life and in art my work will then evolve from different experiences and challenges I will be faced with.
